1993
In Tuscany, the growing season began with very mild weather, resulting in early phenological development. The summer was warm and dry. Merlot grapes were perfectly ripe at the beginning of the third week of September, and Sangiovese grapes by mid-October. Even from early tastings and evaluation of the young wine, it was evident that this vintage would mature in the barrel to be a great and complex wine, with very good aging potential.

Tasting Notes:
The 1993 Luce is impressive from its deep purple color, with ruby hues, to its lingering finish. The seductive, perfumed bouquet and flavors unfold with nuances of blueberries, blackberries, violets and minerals. Accents of mocha and vanilla add to the wine's complexity. The flavors are concentrated and powerful, with a silky texture and elegant, integrated tannins.

Varietal Composition: 60% Sangiovese, 40% Merlot
