We had just left Via Santo Spirito, in Florence, on our way to Montalcino.
Suddenly, just as we were leaving Florence, the morning sun started to shine on the top of the roofs of some of the old buildings, and I thought….Light, Luce, that's it!
It was amazing, everyone, Vittorio, Bob, and the others agreed that Luce would be the right name for this great wine.

At the end of the XV century Brunelleschi was commissioned to build the church of Santo Spirito, in Florence, on land donated by the Frescobaldi family. Luce's label was inspired by the artwork designed for the Altare Maggiore of this Renaissance landmark.
